# About Me ![[adolfo_coronado.png|150]] **Adolfo Coronado, Ph.D. (he/him/his)** *Chair* of the [Department of Computer Science](https://www.pfw.edu/etcs/computer-science) *Associate Professor* [Purdue University Fort Wayne](http://www.pfw.edu/) # Bio I am the chair of the [Department of Computer Science](https://www.pfw.edu/etcs/computer-science) at [Purdue University Fort Wayne](http://www.pfw.edu/). My educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Computer Information Systems, a Master of Science in Information Technology, and a Ph.D. in Information Systems and International Business. My research and teaching interests focus on the strategic use of information technology, business intelligence, and information management. Through extensive academic and consulting experience, I have developed expertise in database design, integration, architecture, business analytics, and technology adoption. Additionally, I have over ten years of extensive [[teaching experience]]. I have also had the privilege to work with several [[student collaborators]]. I am also a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion. I actively participate in various initiatives related to these critical areas, including serving as a Purdue Fort Wayne’s Diversity Council member, previously chairing the International Education Advisory Faculty Senate Subcommittee, and serving as a board member for the Greater Fort Wayne Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. I also support and guide the [Hispanos Unidos](https://www.pfw.edu/student-life/student-organizations/hispanos-unidos) Student Organization as their advisor. Outside my professional and academic pursuits, I enjoy photography, running, reading, and meeting new people. I am fluent in both English and Spanish.
